WI Rustic Roads: Vernon County, R55, R56

Vernon County is as far south as I got on the Rustic Roads this season. R55 is a beautiful little road along a rocky hillside (without any unpaved portions, contrary to WisDOT's website). That rock outcropping along the side of the road is alway my clue that I've entered the Driftless area of the state. R56 is something of a tour of the many styles of barn - the classic Red Barn, parabolic roofs, even round buildings - see how many you can spot!
